Two arrested in Suffolk gangmaster case.

A 45 year old man and a 49 year old man were both arrested at approximately 5.30am at their homes in the Saxmundham area of Suffolk on October 7 2010 in connection with suspected section 12 offences in the agricultural fencing sector.
The arrest was supported by Suffolk Police, and both individuals were transported to Ipswich Police Station and have been bailed until 9th November 2010. Both men are also under suspicion of committing Section 13 offences as well.
The unlicensed supply of labour is a criminal offence under section 12 of the Gangmasters (Licensing) Act 2004, and the use of an unlicensed gangmaster is a criminal offence under section 13 of the Act.
