Enforcement action carried out in Essex

Three people have been found with no National Insurance identification following spot checks carried out by the Gangmasters and Labour Abuse Authority (GLAA) and partners in Essex.
GLAA officers working jointly with Essex Police and the Department for Work and Pensions carried out random checks on 14 hair salons and nail bars in Braintree today (Tuesday 15 May).
The checks form part of ongoing GLAA preventative work to protect vulnerable workers from exploitation.
