Modern slavery arrest following Sheffield raid

A man has been arrested over modern slavery offences following a raid in Sheffield yesterday (Monday 26 March).

Officers from the Gangmasters and Labour Abuse Authority (GLAA) carried out a search of an address in Greenwood Avenue, in Littledale, Sheffield.

An Indian national, aged 33, was arrested on suspicion of modern slavery offences and has been released under investigation as enquiries continue.

The operation was led by the GLAA with support from South Yorkshire Police.
