Second Arrest in West Midlands

A 45 year old man from the Wolverhampton area was arrested on September 24 2010 in relation to a GLA investigation into the unlicensed supply of workers in the herb industry. He was later released on bail until 30 November 2010.
The arrest followed a joint operation between the Gangmasters Licensing Authority West Midlands Police, Gloucester Police and UKBA and is now the second arrest to be made in relation to this investigation.
The unlicensed supply of labour is a criminal offence under section 12 of the Gangmasters (Licensing) Act 2004, and the use of an unlicensed gangmaster is a criminal offence under section 13 of the Act.
